Morozkino House-Gallery is a contemporary painting gallery located in a studio space near the Patriarch’s Ponds in Moscow. A small secret place on the district’s art map, where a collection of academic painting and graphic works by contemporary artists has been brought together.
 

The project grew out of a personal story. Irina Patrikeeva met watercolor artist Sergei Aldushkin, and his works became the beginning of what would later become the gallery’s collection.
The name “Morozkino” comes from a village in the Mari El Republic where the artist spent his childhood. It was there, during plein-air painting sessions, that the first idea emerged of a place where art becomes a home, and a home becomes a space of meaning.

Here, no one rushes and no one tries to impress with grand formats. Instead, the space is about experimenting, searching, and gathering. This is how intimate exhibitions and performances appear in unexpected corners of Moscow.

The collection includes works by both students and masters who have devoted their entire lives to painting. What matters here is not the format, but the tone: sincerity, attentiveness, presence. An atmosphere where you linger, like on a veranda on a summer evening.

Among the gallery’s artists are Bato Dugarzhapov, one of the country’s most renowned impressionists, watercolor artist Sergei Aldushkin, Alexander Pesterev, Daria Kollegova, and others.

Today the Morozkino House-Gallery is located at 3 Maly Patriarshy Lane and is open for visits by appointment.

In the coming years, the gallery will find its permanent home on Prechistenka Street.
