Solodilov Fedor

Born in 1999.
An artist from the city of Vladimir, Fedor Solodilov graduated in 2019 from the Suzdal branch of the Saint Petersburg State Institute of Culture, specializing in book restoration. In the same year, he enrolled at the Surikov Moscow State Academic Art Institute.

Solodilov’s early work was primarily focused on landscape painting. Over time, with the development of his figurative practice, it evolved into genre compositions with a philosophical dimension. The central theme of his work became a reflection on the human condition and its coexistence with the world. His protagonists are often solitary, allegorical figures, most frequently immersed in introspection.

His enduring affinity for landscape continues to shape the space in which his characters exist, creating an environment that interacts with and amplifies their presence.

The leitmotif of his work is a desire to speak to the viewer about the complexity and ambivalence of human existence — to prompt reflection on oneself and others, and at times simply to reveal the beauty of the world, capable of overcoming its inherent absurdity.
